Directions and Parking

It is great to say that our new “home” is Peterborough Square, but how do you find it for the first time?

Peterborough Square is between Simcoe Street on the North, Charlotte Street on the South, and George St. one way heading south, or Water Street one way heading north.

If you enter Peterborough by the Parkway, turn right on Clonsilla St. and follow it all the way downtown. You will probably not notice the change, but beside a medical centre the street name changes from Clonsilla to Charlotte Street. After you pass George and Water Streets, you go down a hill and curve left. The entrance to the underground parking is on your left. Push the circle on the screen to get a ticket, and enter the parking lot. I prefer to turn into the parking lot this way, as it is easier to get close to the ticket stand!

The entrance of our new home as part of the Artisans Centre

Inside the parking, drive right and head towards the back of the parking lot. There is a largish structure in the middle of the far section, that holds both stairs and an elevator. The elevator is what makes us accessible! Go up to the first floor, and turn right. Keep walking along the right side, and you will finally see two window displays advertising the Artisans Centre. We are a few storefronts past that, with windows covered in brown paper. Come on it and see our new space!

There are other ways to get up from the parking area, but they have only stairs. You can use them too! Just head west after climbing the stairs!

Others may enter Peterborough by Sherbrooke Street. Just take it to the end, where it curves left beside No Frills, continuing on (you are now on Water Street) and then turn right on Charlotte Street and follow the directions above.

There is a cost for parking in the lot, $1.50/hour, with one hour free. Parking on the street is $1.25/hour, with a 2 hour limit though you can run out and keep feeding the meter every 2 hours!

There is food available upstairs and there is a dear coffee shop downstairs with very reasonable prices, good food and drinks. I may “forget” to make a lunch on Mondays from now on!
